Approach representation and discover things for their essential elements of dust and intent and how they co-operate with the Entire. Flow through each experience undisturbed and go to your point neither shrinking from the unknown, nor clinging at the past. Leave things where they lie and be done with it there. You are the keeper of your state, on this pilgrimage to the shadows.

How golden the moments left. How precious when fewer the days become, that shade soon should cut us off from our ambitions and separate us from our loved ones. How clear it is now the choices I do have, and the man I would be. How calming that knowledge, and strengthened I am.

132: Letters

How merrily we go about our lives, abducted by unimportant figuring, and sections of time ransomed for counterfeit. How we save up our days and for it are not wealthier, but aged just as soon, and destitute of those rich youth-giving memories that warm like a letter from an old friend.

At last, I have reached that age the elderly folk often would depict, where I fain envy no more than simple pleasantries, such as a book and a cup of tea, to see out my evenings.
