231: The human duty

Direct your greater share of persistence unto endeavours nobler than confined to ones own advantage and personal satisfactions. For long life is not a prospect to the human condition that Creation has extended, despite the slow and regardless manner in which humankind dispenses, and here is yet much to remedy. There are worthy and wanting ideals that will outlive you if inside your compass of breaths, you would apply a convened and gracious potency to such efforts as may contribute to the welfare of the entirety, – for what is a nation that lunging ahead leaves behind a few citizens in sufferance, if fortune will upon the strewn advance allow success its charity to bestow?
This is the challenge befitting us all, that excellence calls responsibility.

An outlook at odds will do well to dissolve sourness of familiarity imbedded across the lands. A traveller sees most only what plenty or want is in them, assenting information as relative by evolution of ones figuring, in response to experience and a perceived usefulness at hand. The stimulus unchanged across all minds but for the translation. The subjective eye, builds upon, adds, and perchance distorts; impressions become anything other than conflict with unconstructive passions. The objective vision is afloat; removes and refines, steadfast in truth and simplicity. And well may there be irrepressible beauty abound, they would find it not who elsewhere seek it improved. Going always here and there, starting anew and completing nothing through discovers none but an uncertainty reigns wheresoever one stands, and commuting ones troubles will less dislodge than it rather ensures. So, what then is it withal turbulence you cannot be shook of? Have you not enquired your part thus, instead presuming so well of yourself as to cast out censoriousness and leer? The world and all Creation has mastered harmony and duration while you, an isolated phenom apparent, divine in three decades commit to rending yourself; abdicating the very power of objective reasoning that, although distinguishes humankind, does not separate it from the Whole of which it is a role and member. Our aversions have roots in our desires, and visa versa; they share common soil, and first there we must tend if anywhere is to be enjoyed with untroubled and meditative vigour.

When after many days the rain eases at last, mine is rather a relief for what it leaves us, than it’s leaving. I burst from my house to collect the many graces; to inhale a bettered air, with expectations of a healthier day. My exuberance skips ahead, thoughts tarry behind. For what I hope to find never Nature withholds. The mood that I bring comes back to me.

There is a balanced quality in the after-shower atmosphere. The streets cleansed, and everywhere trees have caught crystals, dropping pearls from their branches stooped. Unnecessaries are washed from the spirit, like loose leaves from the boughs. Creation starts over.

Every Artist is a lone, celestial emissary of change.

72: Take a knee, soldier

Unless they are aligned with your own hopes and pursuit of a truthful, just and purposeful existence consigned by Natures ordinance, be absolved of your need to carry another’s heavy expectations. More so, abandon those of your own forming you would dutifully hoist upon your bowed shoulders by some misled sense of import. There is too great an expense attached to the enterprise. Though indeed a stout man, in honour and action, and accepting all things under Creation’s gentle regulation are reconciled, knowing thus there is no challenge or change in this world you are not fit to bear, remember still; you are but a man.

Grant yourself leave to fail, to miss, to hold back, make another run when at full might, when the fires of presence once more your vessels rumble, and the winds of opportunity, blowing aims direction again press at your back; to have an ordinary day; unheroic and un-accomplished: It is sufficient, with what vigour resides in you that does not reach or strive to answer impossible notions, to just be.
