Upon waking, recover a quiet place to the skies exhibit, and hold there a harmony of clear and untainted perception. Consider the airs fond occupants; silent clouds that, straying one reach to the other, renew themselves in hopes your notice to keep; the bashful sun, by your own radiance reduced, steals away with its shame to the cotton shroud and looks with sad revere. How all of nature so cherishes you.

80: Farewell the Winter

Can such things be, and apprehend like a Winter Sun?

From its highest seat entirety is touched. Woe into dew thaws, the intellect has no answer at last. An eye cannot bear to blink. No face is unfelt of its warmth, no heart left uncheered beneath, nor does any farewell quite endear, as when it still glistening recedes behind tomorrow. The coming Spring is quite forgot.

It may very well represent an overstretched likelihood that my meanderings will, in times to come, coax to the reader some small benefit as may give to a happy, moral lifetime, though in truth it is not the driving concern.
